Hotpot is a popular communal dish in many cuisines. It’s a time to enjoy the cooking process while in the company of family and friends. Here’s how it works…
 
A simmering pot of broth is placed in the center of the dining table. Surrounding it are plates of prepped food ready for individualized cooking. These often include such ingredients as raw meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles and dumplings. Skewers and/or chopsticks are used to add the items to the hot pot. Once cooked, condiments and dipping sauces are often used to enhance their natural flavor.
